Historical Awards

APC Historical Awards are titles given to Pomeranian’s by the American Pomeranian Club. They may be used as suffixes to the dog’s registered name but may not be used when entering official AKC events. Pomeranian’s receiving these awards need not be owned by an APC member.

If you feel your dog is eligible for a Historical Award, please apply for it. Please check the APC webpage to see if your dog is listed as having earned an award. If your dog is not listed, please do not advertise your dog as having received the award. (magazines, pedigrees, etc.) Please send your inquiries to Carol Leemhuis, APC Historical Awards Registrar.

Offspring titles for ROM, ROMX and ROMS may come from conformation (CH), obedience (CD), tracking (TD or VST), agility (NA or NAP or NAJ or NJP) or rally (RA). Only the first obedience, tracking, agility or Rally title level is credited.  No offspring will be counted more than once toward a parent’s ROM title, regardless of how many titles that offspring acquires. Only AKC titles are counted.

Go to the Register of Merit and Hall of Fame/Gold Club tabs for further information and to see the list of awardees.

Hall of Fame & Gold Club Application

A Pomeranian sire or dam may be added to the American Pomeranian Club’s Registry of Merit once they have produced the required number of offspring who have earned eligible AKC titles. This recognition is awarded in three levels: Register of Merit (ROM), Register of Merit Excellent (ROMX), and Register of Merit Supreme (ROMS).

Qualifying offspring may earn titles in the following categories:

  • Conformation (CH)
  • Obedience (CD)
  • Tracking (TD or VST)
  • Agility (NA, NAP, NAJ, or NJP)
  • Rally (RA)

Only the first qualifying title earned in each category is credited toward the parent’s ROM level. An individual offspring is only counted once, regardless of how many titles they achieve. Please note that only AKC recognized titles are eligible.

Gold Club and Hall of Fame are two awards which can be achieved by individual Pomeranians based on their show records.
